چکیده
Abstract There are numerous applications in geodesy and other geo-sciences which the gravitational potential effect or functions of computed by forward modelling from a given mass distribution. Different volume discretisations, e.g. prisms, tesseroids layers used. In order to control numerical realisation calculation practical application, reduction tasks, these evaluation programs should be verified against rigorous analytical solutions. this contribution, closed solution for an ellipsoidal shell as test body is presented. Furthermore, we derive respective formulae gravity vector gradient tensor. Program implementations tesseroid approach compared on basis arrangement. For usage, fast-converging expansions spherical harmonics provided addition. The derivation based homogeneous ellipsoid computation points situated rotation axis, then extended external space.

Testing Theories of Gravity with a Spherical Gravitational Wave Detector
We consider the possibility of discriminating different theories of gravity using a recently proposed gravitational wave detector of spherical shape. We argue that the spin content of different theories can be extracted relating the measurements of the excited spheroidal vibrational eigenmodes to the Newman-Penrose parameters. The sphere toroidal modes cannot be excited by any metric GW and can...
متن کاملThe Clock Paradox in a Static Homogeneous Gravitational Field
The gedanken experiment of the clock paradox is solved exactly using the general relativistic equations for a static homogeneous gravitational field. We demonstrate that the general and special relativistic clock paradox solutions are identical and in particular that they are identical for finite acceleration. Practical expressions are obtained for proper time and coordinate time by using the d...
